Cormac’s cake smash is probably one of my favorite themes!! His mama contacted me to schedule his first birthday session and when we were talking about themes, she mentioned he was born during the Winter Solstice (the longest night of the year). Talking further about color schemes, she loved the idea of using blues since he has some of the brightest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. We chose to use star constellations to tie in the Winter Solstice, blues for his eyes, gold for stars, and the perfect star-covered cloth diaper to also document their cloth diaper journey!
The cake was perfect with the set and Cormac absolutely LOVED it (as you can see from these photos of icing all in his hair!).
Make sure you don’t miss that last photo!! It makes me chuckle every time I see it.
